Bio
In the very bottom drawer of Roman’s elderly writing desk (the only drawer still locks, though the key has long since been lost) resides an ever-growing stack of journals. They began as artist’s blank-book folios purchased from a stationer’s in New York, large enough that they would look rather impressive when set out on a lectern, or at least a coffee table. The brown leather binding on their spines is just starting to crease and wear with use; because of this, the books will, on occasion, fall open to one particularly well-perused entry when set out on the desk. Between the covers is high quality calligraphy paper, cream-colored and with just enough tooth that it holds the ink nicely, without letting it smear as it dries. His masculine hand-writing marches across the pages in neat little rows; every letter is tilted to the extreme right, but his script is small and precise, and perfectly legible. The fact that they are written by an antique Mont Blanc in brown ink gives the journals an old-fashioned, turn of the century feeling, but they lack the musty smell of wet paper and age that most old books have. Instead, the cloying, sticky-sweet scents of opium and rose oil waft upward with every turn of the page.

Nearly anybody is welcome to open one of the journals and begin to read (after all, what would be the point of telling a story, if there was no one there to hear it?), but it is always important to remember that the story of a person’s life and history -is- their life and history. A person is simply the sum total of their experiences and these journals are the story of his life (or at least the most important parts of it to date). Roman has bound himself into these pages, with his soul, and magic, and blood, whether he thinks he has or not, and that alone gives them power. So, tread carefully, and try not to judge him too harshly when it is all said and done.

((OOC Disclaimer: This is a character journal based on the World of Darkness/White Wolf gaming system. The author is not making any money off of this; it is purely for their own enjoyment. It is also a work of fiction. Names, characters, places and incidents - except those that are clearly within public domain - are either the product of the author’s imagination, or are used fictitiously. Any resemblance to actual persons or entities (whether living or dead), events, or locales is entirely coincidental.))
